From the Georgia Lottery

ATLANTA – Powerball is growing as the jackpot continues to roll, driving excitement toward tonight's drawing with an estimated $250 million to a single annuity winner.

The jackpot has grown since Oct. 6 and has rolled 13 times.

Two Georgia Lottery players won $10,000 in Saturday's drawing. The lucky tickets were purchased at Food Mart #511 Shell in Duluth and Andy's Food Mart in Douglasville.

Powerball offers two payment options: the $250 million jackpot prize paid over 29 years in 30 graduated payments, or the cash option, which is approximately $166 million.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
