The Alabama football team hit the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields for two hours on Wednesday as the Crimson Tide continues to prepare for rival Auburn in the 77th edition of the Iron Bowl.

"I have been pleased with the way the players have responded in practice this week," said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. "It's a little different week for them with school being out today. Sometimes that upsets the routine and the rhythm, but games like this are all about everyone being responsible for their own determination and understanding their role. Things don't happen by accident. Everyone has to be committed to making it happen against a good team, especially in a rivalry game like this."

Alabama tight ends and special teams coach Bobby Williams was named a nominee for the Broyles Award. Five finalists for the 2012 Broyles Award will be announced on Monday, Nov. 26. The 2012 Broyles Award winner will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The Broyles Award honors the top assistant college football coach in America and was established in 1996 to honor legendary Arkansas Head Coach Frank Broyles.

The game will be televised nationally on CBS with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. (CST). Verne Lundquist will serve as the play-by-play announcer, with Gary Danielson at his side as the color analyst. The two will be joined by sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.
