One of the biggest shopping days of the year is finally here!

After resting up on Thanksgiving, people all around Columbus used that saved up energy to wake up early and hit the mall for some Black Friday deals!

Newsleader Nine was at Peachtree Mall on Manchester Expressway where the mall opened at 6 a.m.

We caught up with some shoppers who were awake since 2:30  to make sure they didn't miss out on their Black Friday savings.

"Well, I've never really came out for Black Friday, my roommate drug me out of bed when she got off work today and we've had so much luck.  I didn't even come out here to get anything specific, and I got a whole bunch of cool stuff," said Brittany Esposito.

Esposito, along with many other shoppers we spoke with, tell us they were able to wake up and shop this early thanks to lots of coffee.
