TUSCALOOSA, AL (WSFA) -

Mayors in the two cities where the Iron Bowl contenders reside are making a friendly wager on the outcome of the game. Now, it's up to Nick Saban, Gene Chizik and their crews to figure out which mayor writes the check.

For his bet, Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox says he's agreed that if the Crimson Tide loses, he'll make a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County.

Should the Auburn Tigers lose, Auburn Mayor Bill Ham says he'll put his donation toward the City of Tuscaloosa Storm Recovery Fund.

The exact amount of the donations was not immediately known.

"The Iron Bowl means so much to the citizens of our respective cities and the people of Alabama. This wager has become a tradition for me and Mayor Ham, and it's all in good fun and camaraderie," Maddox said.

This will be the 77th meeting between the Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers as they kickoff in Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 2:30 p.m.

The Tide is heavily-favored to win the game, with Auburn being considered as much as a 31-point underdog.
