ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The same day that Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was cited in a single-car wreck, authorities arrested her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, for reckless driving.

According to reports, Gordon was going 82 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Gordon was arrested and subsequently cited for reckless driving and speeding.

He was taken to the North Fulton Alpharetta Jail Annex.

Earlier that day, Brown was cited in a car accident in a northern Atlanta suburb.

A passerby called 911 and said a black Ford Mustang had left Beaver Creek Road and went down an embankment.

Police said Brown lost control and, after traveling down the embankment, her car struck a small number of trees. Her car came to a stop within the city's greenway park trail system.

She was issued a traffic citation for failure to maintain lane.
