LSU's Coleman named SEC Player of the Week

LSU's Shavon Coleman, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound junior forward from Thibodaux, La., was named SEC Player of the Week after scoring 18 points and gathering six rebounds and three steals in leading the  Tigers to a win over Seton Hall. Coleman scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half during LSU's rally from 16 points down. He has four consecutive games in double figures with two double doubles. Three of his four double figure games came while coming off the bench. For the season averaging 30.4 minutes a game, making 35-of-62 field goals (56.5%), 4-of-8 treys, averaging 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Florida's Michael Frazier II, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound freshman guard from Tampa, Fla., was named SEC Freshman of the Week after scoring 17 points in a win over Marquette in the SEC/Big East Challenge. Frazier led the way for the host-Gators against Marquette with a career-high 17 points off the bench. The rookie was 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. This marked the first time a freshman had led Florida in scoring since Bradley Beal did so in the NCAA Tournament regional finals against Louisville on March 24, 2012.
