ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It was an ending fit for a Hollywood movie, with a state football championship on the line Deerfield Windsor needed one stop on 4th down to claim a state championship and for the Knights it indeed had that Hollywood ending.

With seconds left on the clock against Heritage in the triple A state championship the pass to end zone was incomplete and the celebration was on in part because of running back Kh'Ron McClain.  The senior had almost 269 yards rushing and finished the season with 2,336 yards on the ground.  That mark surpassed now Georgia Tech running back Tony Zenon for the single season rushing record at Deerfield-Windsor.

But for the Kh'ron, no record could have bee more special than feeling of seeing his teammates celebrate a state championship.

"I didn't care anything about the record. Just strictly when that clock hit zero that's when I was happy. Words can't describe it. I've been waiting for this for the longest. I'm speechless, that's it. Speechless." Said McClain.

Head coach Allen Lowe added "These guys deserve it. They've worked hard. A full years worth of work for two and a half hours worth of play. So we went out and played and found a way to come out on top."

It was the Knight's 4th state title in school history.
