ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Missed opportunities almost cost Darton their first region loss.

The Lady Cavaliers rally from a 9 point deficit in the second half and defeat rival South Georgia Tech 52-50 Wednesday at Cavalier Arena.

Darton led by 5 at halftime.

South Georgia Tech found their offense and took the lead with Nikkei Blackburn scoring 14 points.

Michelle Mitchell hit a key basket to force the overtime with a score 48-48.

Mitchell finished with 22 points and 9 rebounds.

Darton is 10-0 and 6-0 in the region.

Lady Cavaliers play at Georgia Perimeter on Saturday.

In other GCAA action, Central Georgia Tech beats Albany Tech 58-57 and the Central Georgia Tech defeats Albany Tech Lady Titans 71-66.
