Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 06, 2012
Positivity (http://www.PositivityU.com), an employee training platform focused on teaching positivity, announced today that it held its first-ever “Ball Drop” at Howe School of Excellence in Chicago on November 16, 2012. Conducted in partnership with Score it Forward, Positivity’s Ball Drop featured the donation of 640 soccer balls, footballs and basketballs to 16 Chicago Public Schools.
Attending the Positivity Ball Drop were U.S. Olympian Bob Willis (2012, Sailing), DePaul University soccer players Art Garza and Cale Hartle, and former Chicago Bulls NBA player Dave Corzine. (Watch the Positivity Ball Drop video.)
Positivity, whose employee coaching services are based on the science of positive psychology and emotional intelligence, donates one ball for every employee coaching session.
Cary Chessick, Positivity co-founder and former CEO of Restaurant.com, said, “Giving back is critical to a healthy, positive life, so we have built a social mission into our company. Whenever our clients’ employees access our unique positivity training services, they are also giving kids access to much needed sports equipment.”
In addition to helping exercise student bodies, Positivity asked each student to exercise gratitude by expressing sincere thanks to a family member, friend, teacher or other individual who has impacted their lives.
“Gratitude is fundamental to the science of positive psychology and emotional intelligence and something we encourage all of our clients to practice on a daily basis”, said Chessick.
