Five Sent to Hospital in Phenix City Crash -Details at 11

Good Evening I'm Barbara Gauthier in the WTVM Newsroom.  We are following some breaking news for you right now out of Phenix City where a two car crash has sent five people to the hospital.  Two of those injured are children.  Police tell News Leader 9 they don't believe any of the injuries are life threatening. The accident happened at the intersection of Highways 431 and 165.  We'll tell you what else we've learned at 11.

Other stories we're working on - We've all heard so much about that ominous fiscal cliff, but what would happen if lawmakers don't come to an agreement and we actually fall off it?  What would it mean for you and me and our monthly budgets?  It's something many people might be a little concerned about especially as they're planning they're holiday shopping and spending.  Tonight News Leader 9's Brittany Dionne takes a look at the numbers.

Law enforcement officials say they are seeing it more and more - teenagers arming themselves against other teens.  We'll tell you about the latest incident in South Georgia.

There's been a lot of talk about re-opening Victoryland Casino in Shorter, Alabama, but is it really going to happen?  And if so, how soon will it be?  No one is pushing for the reopening harder than the mayor of Tuskegee.  News Leader 9's Annie Hubbell sat down with Johnny Ford today to find out what the casino means for Macon County.

Join us for those stories and much more coming up on News Leader 9 at 11.
