COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Former bookkeeper for David Rothschild Co., Patricia Pate, made an appearance in Recorder's Court on Friday.

She was not in the courtroom for long, however.  Pate's attorney waived the hearing and her bond was set at $201,000.  This bond is the same number as the amount of money she allegedly stole from her job.

She is accused of cashing many checks payable to herself over a three year period.

She remains in jail and is charged with felony theft by taking.
