Deputies arrest mainly suspected drug dealers in roundup

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities reported a week-long roundup netted 12 suspects, two of which were already behind bars, and most of which who are accused of selling drugs.

The Denham Springs Police Department said they conducted the operation from Nov. 28 through Dec. 6.

All of the suspects are from Denham Springs except Lakeith Spain. He is from Baton Rouge.

Below is a list of those arrested and the charges:

Lamondre Talbert, 25 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine. Detectives said during the arrest they found nine grams of crack on him. They said it has a street value of $540.

Donald Ray Walls Jr., 26 - Charged with four counts of distribution of crack cocaine.

Lakeith Spain, 28 - Charged with three counts of distribution of crack cocaine and one count of distribution of marijuana.

Elijah Scott, 18 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Cedrick Grant, 31 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

James Thomas III, 17 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Terrance Rheams, 24 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Kelvin Johnson, 37 - Charged with one count of distribution of crack cocaine.

Gary Huffman, 33 - Charged with one count of distribution of heroin.

Terrance Smith, 23 - Charged with one count of distribution of marijuana.

Thomas Clark, 33 - Charged with one count of obscenity.

Monterio Kinchen, no age given - Charged with one count of possession of stolen things (misdemeanor).

Detectives added Johnson and Huffman were already locked up in the Livingston Parish Detention Center on unrelated charges. Pictures of them were not provided.

The roundup was conducted by DSPD narcotics detectives. They were assisted by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office K9, Special Response Teams, Narcotics and Air Support divisions.
