PAYSON, AZ (CBS5) -

Boaters pulled three people from the waters of Theodore Roosevelt Lake in Gila County after a private helicopter crash on Friday afternoon.

Gila County sheriff's officials said the craft went into the lake about 3 p.m. There was no word on injuries or whether anyone was killed.

Officials told the FAA that two men and one woman were flown to Phoenix for evaluation and treatment.

Their names, ages and hometowns were not made available.

The lake is between Payson and Globe and the chopper was reported to have crashed into an area that was about 60 feet deep.

No other information was immediately available.
