MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Police are searching for the shooter responsible for the city's 31st homicide of 2012.

Investigators tell WSFA 12 News that shots were fired Saturday night at the 3500 block of Clearview Street.  When police arrived on the scene, they found 25-year-old Andre Jones of Lapine suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Jones was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No suspects are in custody at this time and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unknown.  MPD continues to investigate.

Police ask individuals with knowledge of this homicide to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 262-4000, or the Montgomery Police Department at 625-2831.
