LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

It will not be long until high school baseball teams will be start practicing for the 2013 season.

The winter weather can make hard for coaches to get in the needed preseason work.

Lee County doesn't have to worry about that.

The Trojans just recently moved in to their indoor practice facility.

Paid for by local option sales take money, the center has room for two batting cages and a pitching mound.

The new center opens at the same time the baseball program is receiving 10,000 dollars of equipment from Louisville Slugger.

Donated by former Lee County great Buster Posey as part of his National League MVP award.

"We were lucky last year. We didn't miss, I don't think we missed a day. The year before we missed about a week and a half of getting on the field. When you only have about three weeks to get ready to play baseball, that makes it pretty tough to get everything in before you need to have it done," said Lee County baseball coach Rob Williams.

Lee County will open the 2013 season in February with their annual Greatest Show on Dirt Invitational tournament.
