Victoryland's plans to open before the end of the year could be put on hold.

Alabama's Attorney General Luther Strange is urging the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to deny the casino's liquor license.

Strange is using the grounds Victoryland has a history of violating laws against illegal gambling.

Strange says a state constitutional amendment allowing bingo in Macon County doesn't mention the word "electronic" and it doesn't allow the use of any electronic device to play bingo.
