Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening, this is Jason Dennis. We have a lot of news coming into our WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6:

One woman is dead and another paralyzed after a Muscogee County school district worker allegedly hit them in a county pickup truck on Steam Mill Road. We have an update on the surviving pedestrian's major injuries.

Alabama's governor announcing a big economic boost in Lee County today. We'll tell you who is relocating to the Auburn-Opelika area, bringing with it more than 100 new jobs.

The man suspected of assaulting an East Alabama man with a gun three weeks ago is now behind bars. We have more details on the arrest and the charges he faces.

And it's a step back towards normalcy this afternoon for children in one Connecticut town, where 20 children and several adults were shot and killed at an elementary school 4 days ago. We'll show you what else is being done to help the heartbroken community.
