Ft. Benning soldiers receive Christmas gifts overseas

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) -

Fort Benning soldiers who are spending the holidays away from home were still given the chance to open a few gifts for Christmas.

More than 2,000 care packages were sent to the soldiers of the Sledgehammer Brigade in Kuwait courtesy of soldiers' Angels Project at Fort Benning.

The packages were distributed the gifts amongst the battalions to ensure every soldier receives a care package.
