Teen remains in jail after man shot in head in robbery on River Road

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus police are searching for a second suspect in an armed robbery that left a man with a head wound.

A juvenile is already being charged in connection with the Wednesday night shooting that happened at Manchester Expressway and River Road. 

The teen faces two counts of attempted robbery and aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm. 

He is accused of shooting a 64-year-old man in the head during the holdup. The victim, incredibly, was treated and released from the hospital. 

There was a second victim involved in the incident, but was not injured. 

Wilkerson appeared in Recorder's Court Thursday afternoon. He remains behind bars at this time on a $400,000 bond.
