Candlelight vigil planned in memory of dogs and cats euthanized by animal shelter

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A candlelight vigil is planned this Saturday in Columbus, in memory of the 4,000 dogs and cats euthanized at the city's animal shelter.

The group known as No-Kill Columbus is conducting the event.

The 2nd Annual Candlelight Vigil will take place at Columbus Animal Care & Control Center, at 4910 Milgen Rd, from 5:30-7:30pm.

The peaceful gathering will include hot chocolate, live music, guest speakers, and a moment of silence. Candles will be provided and all are invited to join.
