DPS Trooper Jean Dark said 25 year old Justin Schattel died after a one vehicle wreck in Gregg County.
According to authorities, around 9:30 a.m. a pick up truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when Schattel lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree on I-20 westbound near FM 2087 near mile marker 591.
Schattel was pronounced dead at the scene.
