The National Football League announced today that the Atlanta Falcons will host an NFC Divisional playoff game on Sunday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
The Falcons finished the 2012 regular season with the NFC's best record at 13-3, earning the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Under Head Coach Mike Smith, the Falcons have earned the conference's top seed in two of the last three seasons. The Falcons posted a 7-1 record at the Georgia Dome in 2012. Since 2008, Atlanta owns a 33-7 record at the Dome, which is the best home record in the NFC and tied for the second-best home record in the NFL during that span.
