The
Louisiana State Police said it was not contacted to investigate a single deadly
crash statewide in the "critical hours" of New Year's Eve.
Troopers
did investigate a deadly wreck in the Baton Rouge area Monday afternoon.
Herman
Ricard, 44, of Baton Rouge died after veering off LA 957 in East Feliciana
Parish and hitting a tree.
Investigators
said they believe speed was a factor in the accident.
