COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A murder charge has now been issued in connection with the New Year's shooting at the Majestic Sports Bar in Columbus.

Late Thursday evening, police issued a murder warrant for 21-year-old Dequandrea Artavis Truitt.  Truitt was identified Wednesday as a suspect in the shooting outside the club that left 18-year-old Corey Taylor injured.

But police now say new information and witness interviews have revealed that there were two shooters inside the club.

Six people were shot inside the Majestic Sports Bar early New Year's morning during a New Year's Eve party.  Charles Foster, 24, was killed and 5 others were wounded in the gunfire.

Originally Columbus police said that there were two different shootings at the bar, with one shooter inside and another outside.  Corey Taylor was shot in the back of the head and upper back while sitting in a car outside the bar.  He was taken to the Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Wednesday, police named Truitt as a suspect in the shooting outside and charged him with aggravated assault.  They are asking anyone who knows anything about Truitt's whereabouts to contact police immediately adding that Truitt is considered armed and very dangerous.

Phenix City Police Department also has a warrant on Truitt for criminal attempt murder. Truitt is 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He also has a slight scar below his left eye on the cheekbone.

Columbus police also released a description Thursday of a second suspect wanted in connection with the shooting inside the Majestic Sports Bar.  He's described as a black male, 5'7 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds and around 20 to 21 years old.  Police say he has a medium complexion with acne bumps and scars on his face.  The suspect was wearing a brown one piece work suit that resembled overalls.

Anyone with information on either suspect or the shootings at the Majestic Sports Bar is asked to call Robbery/Homicide in Columbus at (706) 653-3400, 911 or crime stoppers in Columbus and (334) 448-2806 at the Phenix City Police Department.

Meanwhile, the bar is being investigated. Mayor Teresa Tomlinson told News Leader 9 there are still a lot of details to be investigated, but she says if there was anything illegal done by the business, Majestic Sports Bar could lose its business license or liquor license.
