Senior guard LaShay Page will not play with Gamecocks basketball team for the rest of the season, according to a release from the University of South Carolina athletics department.

The release goes on to say Page is out because of an academic eligibility issue.

Page came to South Carolina from the University of Southern Mississippi, and became eligible to play for the Gamecocks because he was working on a post-graduate degree.

Page played in nine games for South Carolina this season. In his role, he scored an average of 11.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
