Man shot at in Land Rover, police searching for suspect

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus police are investigating after a man narrowly missed being shot at early Wednesday morning.

Vintario Johnson, 20, told Columbus police he was driving down 10th Street near Illges Road around 12:30 Wednesday morning when he heard a gunshot and ducked down into his lap.

The bullet passed through the front driver's window and exited the vehicle through the front passenger side window.  Johnson said some of the glass fragments got into his eyes, but he did not suffer any other injuries.  

He went to a nearby relative's house who then drove him to the hospital.   He was riding in a black four-door 2007 Land Rover.  No description of the suspect is available at this time.
