COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Shots were fired at the Booker T. Washington apartments off of Victory Drive in Columbus. Columbus police were called out to the apartment complex around 6:30 Thursday evening.

When they arrived they found William Brite with a gunshot wound in the right hip and wrist. The victim was transported to the Medical Center in good condition.

The victim said he was shot by a black man with a goatee driving a white Ford Focus.

The victim was later released and is being sought by police for questioning. Police are still investigating the details surrounding the shooting.
