Shana Young has lived in Columbus for quite some time she remembers when uptown used to be downtown and it wasn't the heavily populated place it is today. She believes a lot of that is because of Columbus

Have you seen "Molly?"She's popular, illegal, and very dangerous; although her name sounds innocent, she's far from it. You find her in clubs, music, and right here in the Chattahoochee Valley.

Oftentimes when we think about our military, we think about the soldiers making a huge sacrifice: the deployments, the many moves, the separations and the heartfelt homecomings.

What we sometimes forget about is their children who have to pick up and go to another school.
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

On Thursday, March 14, 2013, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson will begin the series of public forums called "LET'S TALK!...with the Mayor" for the third year.

Meetings are scheduled to take place each quarter at locations around the city. This quarter's forum will be held in coordination with Brookstone School's Applied Leadership Class. This meeting is open to the public and will be filmed for later broadcast on Columbus Consolidated Government Television Network.

"LET'S TALK!...with the Mayor" is a public forum that is held in conjunction with community partners, such as civic groups and neighborhood associations. The purpose of the forum is to provide a current status of the city, as well as provide an opportunity for citizens to come together and discuss their concerns.

The most recent "LET'S TALK!...with the Mayor" held in December 2012 in Bibb City at the River Mill Event Center, was a tremendous success.

More than 100 citizens came to hear from Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, City Manager Isaiah Hugley, elected officials, nearly all city department heads, and public safety representatives.
