TUCSON, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

A man accused of stealing more than $4,000 in cigarettes in Tucson since last November has been arrested.

Cole Evan Neal, 25, is being held on suspicion of nine felony counts of third-degree burglary, Tucson police said.

Calls to an anonymous tip line helped identify Neal as the suspected cigarette thief.

Authorities released surveillance photographs of the man Tuesday asking the public to help identify him.

Neal was arrested Wednesday.

Neal is suspected of stealing the cigarettes in eight incidents between Nov. 1, 2012 and Jan. 9, 2013, Tucson police spokeswoman Sgt. Maria Hawke said.

The suspect is accused of targeting Circle K stores on the northwest side of the city.
