BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The girlfriend of UA quarterback A.J. McCarron continues to gain fame after her impromptu appearance on camera at the BCS National Championship.

Katherine Webb announced via Twitter on Tuesday that she has been chosen to cover this year's Super Bowl for the show Inside Edition.

Last week, Sports Illustrated announced that Webb will be posing for Sports Illustrated in their yearly swimsuit issue.

Webb's popularity exploded after she was pointed out during the championship game by sports commentator Brent Musberger. Musberger seemed captivated by the former Miss Alabama and remarked on her beauty. ESPN later apologized about the remarks, to which Webb has said that she was not offended.
