(WTVM) -

Three men are wanted for stealing the credit cards of unsuspecting people and purchasing more than $8,000 worth of merchandise with the stolen cards.

According to Corporal Deborah Whitley with the Columbus Police Department the three suspects stole the credit cards of people on two separate occasions.

The first happened at a Columbus restaurant.

"The video from the restaurant shows one of them bending down and offset the purse sideways, and it didn't show anything else than the lady missing her wallet", says Whitley.

She says the second theft happened at a Columbus grocery store.

"There was a black male that came up to her and asked her if she could read the labels because he had left his glasses, so she did and she realized when she went to the register to pay for her purchase her wallet was gone," Whitley told News Leader 9.

Police say purchases were made at several locations across Columbus and in Hogansville, Georgia.

Suspect number one is described as 5'10" tall with a heavy build and appeared to be in his late 30's or early 40's. Suspect number two is 6'0 and weighs around 200 pounds. He has a dark complexion and was wearing glasses. The last suspect is around 5'10" tall. He weighs around 230 pounds and has a mustache and goatee.

If you recognize any of the suspects you are asked to call Columbus Police.

Call Crime Stoppers at (706) 653-3188 or you can log onto Isolvecrime.com and leave a tip. A cash reward of up to $1,000 will be offered for any information that will lead to an arrest.
