Tree Planting Event
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, The Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission, Trees Columbus Inc., CCG Urban Forestry and Beautification Division, the Muscogee County School District and students from George Washington Carver High School will plant several trees on the campus of George Washington Carver High School located at 3100 8th Street, Columbus GA 31906. The project is our MLK Jr. Serve-A-Thon will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 9:30am.

Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Parade - Saturday, January 19 at 11am, Broadway

The city's 17th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Parade of Excellence will be Jan. 19, featuring local organizations, city officials, school bands and the Maneuver Center of Excellence Army Band. The Commission on Unity, Diversity and Prosperity is sponsoring the parade. The MLK Parade will begin at 11am in Phenix City and will follow the traditional bi-city parade route.
