TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

An employee at an appliance store near 48th Street and University was shot during a robbery, according to Tempe police.

Sgt. Michael Pooley said the employee was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but victim's condition is unknown.

He said an unknown number of suspects came into the store trying to rob the place.
