Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening and happy MLK day! This is Jason Dennis, from the WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6...

For the 2nd time, President Barack Obama took his oath of office today. We'll take a look at all the inaugural festivities, with thousands attending, including a Columbus State University student, who will also be at the inaugural ball tonight. We have more details on this young man's road trip to the Inauguration.

We were there as two robbery suspects appeared in court today, accused of robbing a Columbus gas station, and attacking the clerk with a wine bottle.

A soldier who gave so much for his country is getting something back in the Fountain City. We'll take you to the groundbreaking for the wounded warrior's new "smart home."

News Leader 9 was also at several local events honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's birthday. See how 100 youngsters in East Alabama recreated what it would be like if President Obama had met Dr. King.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

 Jason Dennis
