COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

If you have trouble getting your significant other to go to the doctor, perhaps a free visit will help.

That's basically what the 12th Annual Health Expo is about this weekend in Columbus.

Physicians will be on hand to conduct some 30 different health screenings, many of which could save your life.

"A lot of the causes of early death, a lot of the causes of disability are very preventable if you know about it early enough," said Dr. Joseph Zanga, Columbus Regional Healthcare System. "This is one way to know about it early enough to keep yourselves healthy for a long time."

Doctors and nurses will be on site to review your results the same day and answer any questions you may have.

The health expo runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Columbus Trade Center and is absolutely free.

For more details, you can call the Health Expo information line at 706-321-6166 or visit their website.
