Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening. This is Jason Dennis, from our WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6!

The Muscogee County school board, surrounded by controversy as they search for a new superintendent, will be meeting about an hour from now. They are expected to vote on a new board chair, to replace Cathy Williams and also plan to vote on year round school - if it will continue at some elementary schools in the district. We'll have a LIVE report from tonight's meeting.

Opelika police say nearly $500,000 worth of vehicles, beer and household items were stolen over the weekend at a local transportation trucking company. We'll update you on the search for the culprits.

And Columbus' mayor outlined what's planned for the future, in her state of the city address today. We'll tell you what she has in store for the Fountain City.
