Suspect arrested for Walmart fires

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man wanted in connection with fires at two area Walmarts has turned himself in to authorities.

Paul Triplett is accused of starting the fires Saturday morning at the stores on College Dr. and O'Neal Ln.

Both stores were evacuated after employees discovered the fires.  The fires were put out by employees.

Damages from the fires were estimated at $11,000 for each store.

Triplett has been charged with two counts of aggravated arson, two counts of terrorizing and one count of felony theft.
