MACON COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -
A
Macon County mother of three has won a stellar prize from the Georgia Lottery.
Teporschne
James of Montezuma is jumping for joy since winning a $28,888 top prize playing
the instant game White Ice 8's.
James,
33, claimed her prize Tuesday at the Georgia Lottery's District Office in
Macon.
Barkers
Market, 432 Spaulding Road in Montezuma, sold the winning ticket. She scratched
her winning ticket in the parking lot while in her car.
"I
called my husband. I always joke with him, so he couldn't believe it," she
said.
An
Albany State University sophomore, James will celebrate a birthday in February.
"This
is a birthday present, and I feel great," she exclaimed.
The
lucky winner and her husband, Mark, plan to use a portion of the windfall
toward their children and for home improvements.
