SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ (CBS5) -

A San Tan Valley supermarket clerk used a stun gun three times on a 13-year-old robbery suspect Saturday night while an accomplice fled, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the boy and another suspect, identified as 18-year-old Humberto Sanchez, walked into the Skyline Market at 5650 E. Skyline Market Road at around 7:30 p.m.

The pair grabbed two 18-packs of Bud Light beer and then attempted to leave the store without paying, PCSO investigators said. The clerk tried to stop them but Sanchez made it out the door.

The clerk grabbed the boy, who put up a fight. The clerk, fearing for his safety, grabbed and deployed a stun gun on the boy three different times while attempting to subdue him.

The boy was booked into the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center on one count of aggravated robbery. It's not the first time the boy has been in trouble. Deputies discovered he had a previous arrest for a burglary offense as well.

Deputies and detectives are still searching for Sanchez. People with any information about his whereabouts are asked to call the Pinal County Sheriff's Office at 520-866-5111. Sanchez, too, has prior arrests. He's been accused of burglary, theft, disorderly conduct and assault.
