Pets of the Day: January 31

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

There's no better time to give a deserving animal a second chance at life. These pets at Columbus Animal Care and Control are eager to meet you, and become the newest member of your family.

Tag 145 is a female Domestic Short Hair cat that may have wandered from home. This gentle and sweet-natured cat is very relaxed and loves to be around people.

Tag 260 is a 10-week-old Domestic Short Hair who loves attention and spending time with people. She is sure to be an excellent family pet.

Tag 195 is an adorable male Chihuahua-mix. He is a wonderful lap dog and is very affectionate. He hopes you will come to his rescue and provide a forever home.

Lastly, Tag 380 is a 12-week-old mixed-breed boy. This guy is as sweet as they come and will grow to be a big dog. If you're looking for puppy love, he's the one for you.

The incident occurred in Funchess hall at Auburn.  A hazardous chemical was reportedly poured down the drain during the cleanup process in one of the rooms being cleaned.
