(WTVM) -

Andrea Porter, 47, is on the run and Muscogee County Sheriff Officials are searching for her.

"She was supposed to report to a judge or do some community service or do weekends in jail or something like that, she didn't do it so she needs to come back before a judge so she can explain to them why she didn't do what she was supposed to do," says Muscogee County Sheriff Deputy Jeffrey Hackey.

According to Hackey, Porter was originally charged with cruelty to children and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Police believe she is still in the area keeping a close watch on her children from a distance.

"That would be a good starting place. Obviously we don't want to leave no stone unturned. We have to do what we have to do to make contact with this person, dangerous or not dangerous we need to get them in here so they can answer to whatever it is that they've done."

Porter is 4'11" inches tall and weighs 92 pounds. She has blonde hair and green eyes. If you see her, do not approach her, simply call authorities.

"Any tips that anybody can give us, no matter how small or unimportant it may seem, we are always grateful to the public. They are our eyes and ears out there. They will run across them faster than we will," Hackey told News Leader 9.

If you know where Porter is hiding out, you are asked to call the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office at (706) 653-4225.
