LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -

Another victim in Friday's crash has died, bringing the total to 6 people. Troup County coroner says Shaquavious Harrison, 18, who was at Columbus Hospital, died Tuesday. She was upgraded to satisfactory from critical, then passed away.

The devastating crash claimed the lives of three generations all in one family and two in another. It was just before 7 p.m. Friday night on West Point Road in LaGrange when everything changed in an instant.

Police say Willie Hooks, 28, was attempting to pass several cars in a dangerous no passing zone on the crest of a hill.  That's when he crashed head-on into another vehicle carrying six other people.

Everyone involved was either killed or seriously hurt.  Relatives of 23-year-old Melanie Lemmon visited the accident scene and left a makeshift memorial on the side of the road.  She was the other driver whose car was carrying six passengers, all part of the same family.

Police suspect that Hooks was under the influence of alcohol when he attempted to pass those cars.

"Just get rid of alcohol man, it won't be like this. It won't be like this. Take the alcohol off the streets," said father of Melanie Lemmon, Jody Sellers.

Sellers just learned that his daughter was killed last night and, today, he found out for the first time that she was four months pregnant and carrying his grandchild.

The other victims killed in this accident are thirty-seven-year-old Miranda Hurston, her 16-year-old son Tridarius Harrison, and her 1-year-old grandchild Quamauri Harrison.

Two of Miranda's other children, 15-year-old Jayvianna Hurston and 18-year-old Shaquavious Harrison were taken to a West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange before being flown to hospitals in Columbus and Atlanta. Harrison passed away Tuesday but Hurston is still in Atlanta.
