Montgomery police continue search for suspect in 9th homicide of 2013

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a homicide that occurred over the weekend.

Investigators were called to the Economy Inn in the 900 block of the West South Boulevard Saturday where they found a victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who remains unidentified, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say they do not have a suspect in custody at this time. 

Police ask individuals with knowledge of the homicide to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, the Secret Witness at 262-4000, or the Montgomery Police Department at 625-2831.

This is the city of Montgomery's ninth homicide of 2013.
