Vacant home destroyed in late night fire

Baton Rouge Firefighters are investigating a fire they believe to have been an arson.  The fire happened in the 2100 block of Iroquois Street just after 10:30 pm Saturday night.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the vacant house completely filled with flames.  Over head power lines were burned and live on the ground.  Entergy was called out to disconnect power.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes. The home is considered a total loss.  Anyone with information is asked to call Fire Investigators at 225-354-1419.
