GOODYEAR, AZ (CBS5) -

Burglars are targeting a Goodyear neighborhood near McDowell and Pebblecreek Parkway.

Police say several cars were broken into over the weekend.

Officers believe these are crimes of opportunity because none of the vehicles had signs of forced entry.

In three cases, nothing was taken but the burglars threw the contents of the glove boxes all over the road.

In two other cases, the thieves walked off with headphones and a flashlight.  Each worth less than $20.

Police want to remind you to lock your car doors and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight.

Officers said they had increased patrols in the area.
