Work release inmate escapes from East Feliciana Parish Prison

EAST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities are searching for a 21-year-old prisoner who walked away from his work release Monday afternoon.

His name is Glen Carroll III and was an inmate of the East Feliciana Parish Prison. He was working at Paul Davis Lumber in Amite when he walked off the job. Paul Davis Lumber is on Highway 16 in St. Helena Parish.

He was incarcerated for aggravated second degree battery. He is described as being 5'10" and 155 pounds.

Carroll had one year left on a two year sentence.

Deputies believe Carroll has connections in Livingston and Acadia Parishes.
