NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Less than a month after he stepped down at Bainbridge,  legendary high school football coach Ed Pilcher has a new job.

The Berrien County School Board Tuesday night approved the recommendation to hire Ed Pilcher as the next head football coach at Berrien High.

Pilcher has been a head coach for 27 seasons at Early County, Thomas County Central and for the last five years at Bainbridge.

Pilcher told WALB News 10 Sports last week he has three granddaughters in the Nashville area and he is looking forward to being closer to them.

Ed Pilcher takes over for Rob Armstrong who left after one season to become defensive coordinator at Clark Atlanta.

Pilcher is the seventh head football coach at Berrien High in the last ten years.
