After 27 years on the Los Angeles County bench, Judge Joseph F. De Vanon joins IVAMS for his Alternative Dispute Resolution career

After more than 27 years on the Los Angeles County http://www.ivams.com bench and a veteran of more than 500 jury trials, Judge DeVanon will be teaming up with IVAMS, a leader in Dispute Resolution for more than 17 years.
Originally hired as a Commissioner of the Glendale Municipal Courts in 1986. By 1996 he was elevated to the Superior Courts and the last 16 years he has spent in Pasadena.
Known as a well prepared, conscientious, hard working and courteous to both counsel and the parties, Judge De Vanon will fit nicely into the private world of Dispute Resolution.
A native of Chicago, raised in the Pasadena/San Marino area, eventually graduated USC and Western State University College of Law where he was a member of the law review.
Judge De Vanon is well respected in the legal community and enjoys the reputation as a decisive bench officer. During his last 10 years in Pasadena, Judge De Vanon has presided over jury trials, court trials, law and motion as well as running the Mandatory Settlement program. in 2006 he was recognized by the Pasadena Bar Association as the outstanding judge of the year. He has been successful in obtaining settlements in, but not limited to medical malpractice, business disputes, probate, as well as general negligence and property disputes.
