Soldiers from Kuwait return home in time for Valentine's Day

FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) -

At least 250 soldiers got home just in time for Valentine's Day after nine months of deployment.

You can see video here just moments after they stepped off of the plane. The flight landed just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning.

The soldiers were in the Communication Division with the 3rd Brigade stationed in Kuwait.

We spoke with one of the soldier's mothers who drove all the way from Texas to see her son come home. Tomorrow is her son's 30th birthday.

His family will be here through the weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day and his birthday with him.
