The countdown is on to the St. Jude dream home giveaway, and a very special tradition took place Thursday leading up to the big day.
As the floors were installed in the new home, many of the sponsors, vendors, volunteers and even patients of St. Jude signed a portion of the floor as a way to say thanks for your support and welcome to whoever wins this beautiful home.
"It's just an opportunity for the volunteers to put their mark on the house, you know, signature it with love, type of thing, and essentially you welcome the winners to St. Jude house," said Dave Erickson, homebuilder with Grayhawk Homes. "It's a good way to tie together the volunteers, the labor contributions along the way, lot of the vendors as well and put a signature on a great charitable cause."
Tickets are on sale right now for the St. Jude dream home for $100 apiece. The giveaway will be held April 21.
